My absolute favourite book that I reviewed last year, Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book has won the Newbery Medal. The NPR story can be found here, Blog@Newsarama's is here and Mr. Gaiman's own thoughts can be found on his blog here. A HUGE congratulations to Mr. Gaiman. Not that I read that many (or any) of the other nominees, but this book was truly amazing, and it Will definitely be the first book Hadrian and I read together.
In other Graveyard news, via /film (Slashfilm) apparently Neil Jordan will be writing/directing an adaptation of The Graveyard Book. Cool.
Considering that all the trailers I've seen for Coraline look amazing I'm really pleased.
